FreeMove is a free open source program for Microsoft Windows devices to move program folders to other locations without breaking functionality.

When you install a software on a Windows machine, you either select a location for it to be installed in, or have no say in the matter at all.

The default locations, program files and program files (x86), fill rather quickly with all kinds of installations. While that may not be a huge problem if the main drive of your Windows PC has plenty of space, there may come a time where hard disk space is running out on the drive.

Miracast is a wireless connections standard for displaying content from devices such as laptops or smartphones on displays such as TVs or projectors. Note that any display, a Windows 10 monitor for instance, may act as a receiver as long as what is powering it supports the Miracast standard.

Blizzard released the classic game for free for both Windows and Mac computer systems yesterday. Microsoft launched a preview of To-Do, a new cross-platform task management service the other day that is "designed to make it easy to plan and manage your day".

My first reaction to the announcement was meh, another task management service. Did not Microsoft buy Wunderlist a couple of years ago exactly for that purpose?

Unity, probably the most universally debated DE in the GNU/Linux community; despised by some, yet absolutely loved by others. Unity was created by Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu, for Ubuntu. It’s possible to install Unity on other systems, but 99% of the users you see using Unity are running it with Ubuntu.

Windows Update Mini Tool Wrapper Script, or short WUMT Wrapper Script, is a free script for Windows 10 to control Windows Updates.

The April rollup update patches KB4015552 and KB4015553 have been released on Tuesday 18, 2017 for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1

Microsoft releases update previews on the third Tuesday of every month for the company's operating system's Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.

These previews are then released on the next Patch Day, the second Tuesday of the coming month for all users of these operating systems.

Mozilla plans to drop the Firefox Aurora release channel with the release of Mozilla Firefox 53 on Wednesday, April  26th 2017. The change affects the Thunderbird and SeaMonkey projects as well.

Mozilla introduced what it called the Rapid Release Model in 2011 which changed the Firefox release system dramatically.

This meant two things: first, that Mozilla would release a new stable version of the Firefox web browser on  a six week schedule, and that it would use three development channels, Beta, Aurora (also known as the Developer Edition), and Nightly.

Google runs a dark mode experiment right now on the YouTube video streaming platform that allows users to switch the light theme to a dark theme called dark mode.

As is the case with all experiments that Google runs, anyone may join it provided that they are either invited, or add the cookie that distinguishes participants from non-participants to their devices.

Microsoft added so many different ways to take screenshots to the company's Windows 10 operating system that it has become difficult to find the one that fits best in your workflows.

While you can use good old Print-key to capture the entire screen to the Clipboard, and go from there, for instance by pasting it into an image editor window, other methods are much faster than that.

According to a report by Windows Central, Microsoft appears to be working on a new feature that would bring tab support to all programs on Windows 10.

The feature, called Tabbed Shell, would introduce tab support to all programs on the operating system including Windows Store apps and legacy desktop programs.

The Windows 10 Creators Update ships with options to install desktop themes for the operating system from the built-in Windows Store.

Microsoft introduced basic theme customization options when it released the Windows 7 operating system. These options allowed you to set custom backgrounds, colors, sounds and less than a handful of other customization options.

Can you install Microsoft Edge on Windows 7, another Windows operating system, or even on non-Windows operating systems?

The short answer to that question is no, you cannot. But you do have options when it comes to running Microsoft Edge on devices that are not running Windows 10.

The explanation for the error message is simple: while users are free to share files publicly, or with a large number of users, quotas are in effect that limit availability.

If too many users view or download a file, it may be locked for a 24 hour period before the quota is reset. The period that a file is locked may be shorter according to Google.

Microsoft announced that support for the Windows 10 RTM version, the first retail version of Windows 10, will end on May 9, 2017.
