Firefox 46: Find out what is new
Firefox 46.0 was released on April 26, 2016 to the stable channel. The new version of the web browser is offered as an update or as a separate download from the Mozilla website.
Firefox releases run in sync which means that all channels of the web browser are updated at the same time and moved up a version in the process.
Apart from Firefox 46 Stable, this means that Firefox Beta 47, Firefox Developer Edition 48, and Firefox Nightly 49 have also been released.
How to avoid fake Chrome extensions or apps

Open365: open source Office 365 alternative
Open365 is an open source Office 365 alternative that allows you to edit or create documents online, and to sync files with the cloud.
The service is in beta currently but you can sign up for it already on the official website. You may use it using a web browser, download clients for Windows, Mac or Linux desktop machines, or for Android. An iOS client is in the making currently and will be made available as well soon.
Open 365 offers two main features that you can make use of. First, it enables you to synchronize files between devices you use and the cloud.

The toolkit is compatible with devices running Windows 10 and 8.1, and compatible with all Surface Pro devices, Surface 3, and Surface Book.
The download page on Microsoft's website reveals little information about each of the utilities included in the tools collection.
Amazon Prime Video without Silverlight in Firefox
Firefox users will soon be able to play Amazon Prime Video without requiring the Microsoft Silverlight plugin to do so.
Mozilla, just like Google and Microsoft, plans to remove support for so-called NPAPI plugins in Firefox. Google actually blocked these types of plugins already in Chrome, and Microsoft did the same for them in the company's new Edge browser.
This old architecture enables support for Flash, Java, Silverlight and other plugins in the browser so that web services can make use of them, for instance to stream video to the browser.
Remove stuck Windows apps from your system
I mentioned previously that stuck apps were being listed in the start menu on recent Windows 10 Insider Builds, and that I had yet to find a way to remove those from it.
The applications are listed in the start menu just like any other application, and you can distinguish them easily as they show a "loading bar" underneath them indicating that something is not right.
A click on these applications opens the apps' page on the official Windows Store application, and a right-click shows only options to pin the item to Start or display More options but not uninstall.
Bypass login after Windows 10 Updates
Some Windows Updates require a restart of the computer to complete the installation process.
Whenever that happens, and you have not configured the system to bypass the login prompt automatically, you are asked to enter account credentials to continue. The login prompt is displayed in this case and the desktop is not loaded until the account password is entered.

Windows needs an option to remove apps from your library
Whenever you install a Windows Store application on a device running Windows 8 or 10, that application gets associated with your Microsoft Account.
One of the ideas of this is that it makes it easier to get those apps or games on other devices you own, to improve re-installation on the same device, and to keep track of your purchases.
You can manage all apps or games that you bought or installed on the Library page that is part of the Windows Store application.
If your PC does not turn on anymore, try this
I'm not a hardware guy. While I'm capable of building a PC from scratch by selecting compatible components and putting it all together, I'm only interested in hardware when I'm about to build a new PC and not the other time of the year.
One of the first things I do each morning is to power on the PC. Imagine my surprise when my PC would not boot at all.
This guide provides you with tips that may help you fix the not turning on issue on your own. Please note though that it won't provide a 100% surefire way of fixing things as there is none.

TrueCrypt alternative CipherShed is not dead
CipherShed was one of a handful of TrueCrypt encryption software alternatives that emerged shortly after the developers of TrueCrypt dropped the software and development like a hot stone.
We reviewed the initial version of CipherShed back in 2014 when the development team released a first screenshot of the upcoming interface and revealed its plans.
Firebug Theme for Firefox Developer Tools
Firebug is a popular development extension for Firefox that has been available for Firefox since the early 1.x days of the web browser.
It launched at a time when development tools were not integrated into web browsers -- the most you could do back then was to display the source code and maybe edit it directly if integration was available -- and it revolutionized how web developers could utilize the browser to edit, debug and monitor code and the actual display of web pages in the web browser.
