A Look at Desktop Environments: Cinnamon
Cinnamon is another desktop environment that began as a fork of a previous environment, this time a fork of the GNOME Shell.
The developers of Linux Mint from how I understand it, didn’t like the tablet inspired GUI that GNOME went with, but they enjoyed the back end features and implementations, so they forked the code and created Cinnamon in order to keep a more traditional look and feel to the desktop environment, while still keeping up with the times and latest technologies.
However as of Cinnamon 2.0, Cinnamon has become it’s own desktop environment.

FileFriend: hide files, folders or text in JPEG images
FileFriend is a free portable program for Microsoft Windows devices that enables you to hide files, folders or text in jpeg images.
The file manipulation and encryption tool has more to offer than that, most notably options to split and join files on top of its encryption functionality.
Computer users have quite a few options at their disposal when it comes to protecting files, folders or text from unauthorized access. One of the best options is to create an encrypted container, or encrypt a hard drive partition or even the entire hard drive.

If you use the Netflix application on Windows 10, you may have received an update already that allows you to download shows to watch them offline.

The best free RAM Disk programs for Windows
The following guide provides you with an overview of the best free RAM Disk programs for devices running Microsoft's Windows operating system.
A RAM Disk, also called RAM Drive or RAMDisk, works in many regards just like a hard drive. The core difference is that it is a virtual hard drive that uses RAM for storage. With it come notable differences born out of that: a RAM Disk is faster than hard drives, and the storage space that it offers is only available during the session unless the software supports the saving and loading of disk images.
A Look at Desktop Environments: LXDE
LXDE is known as one of the if not the lightest of the main desktop environments available for GNU/Linux.
LXDE is extremely minimalistic and comes with very little to no special effects, or resource hungry applications and tools.

Microsoft announced yesterday that it will shut down its open-source project hosting website CodePlex on December 15, 2017.
The company launched CodePlex in 2006 as a place to "share software". CodePlex enabled anyone to create and share projects. KB4106250: cumulative update for Windows 10 to build 15063.11
And so the patching of the Windows Creators Update before release of the final version of the Windows 10 Creators Update begins.
As I have mentioned earlier, it may be a bit premature to download and install the Creators Update right away. Users may download and install it on their machines using a leaked copy of the Update Assistant, or by downloading ISO images that are also available.

Firefox Photon: new design mockups show interface, and more
We talked about the upcoming Firefox interface design change, codename Photon, before here on Ghacks, and even revealed a mockup showing some of its interface elements last week.
Turned out later that the mockup was not by the Photon team, but by another Firefox team that used tidbits of Photon in the screenshot.
Anyway, if things go well, Photon will be part of Firefox 57. The browser is one of the most important releases for Mozilla in a long, long time.

Mozilla is working on a new security project for Firefox, called Binary Transparency, currently to allow all Firefox users to verify the binary files of the web browser to ensure that the files are safe and have not been tampered with.
Firefox is an open source project. This means that anyone may build the browser from source, and even change code before that.

Microsoft plans to release the Windows 10 Creators Update on April 11, 2017. The day coincides with April's Patch Tuesday, and marks the beginning of the roll out phase of the Creators Update.
Roll out phase means that Microsoft will release the update gradually to the Windows 10 population through Windows Update. The company did the same when it released the Anniversary Update, and that took some time to reach all user devices (weeks, in some cases months)
