Password mistakes that increase the chance of getting hacked
Selecting a secure, unique password is not science, but it can be a frustrating experience for Internet users especially if they don't use a password manager program to assist them in the task.
To make matters worse, there is no clear definition of when a password is considered safe (from brute force or guessing attempts) which means it is up to you to select a minimum character length and character set for your passwords.

Microsoft Translator's latest feature on Android adds offline translation capabilities to the application. This means that Android users can use it in situations where Internet is not available at all, or not reliable enough to send and receive data from a server when it is needed.

New Windows 10 Insider Preview 14267 brings Edge improvements
The last Insider Preview builds that Microsoft released to the Fast Ring were rather uneventful as they did not introduce new features or major changes to the operating system.
This changes with today's release of Windows 10 Insider Preview build 14267 to the Fast Ring, as it introduces several new features and fixes to the operating system.
Fast Ring is the cutting edge development channel that the public has access to. There is also the Slow Ring which gets fewer builds, and a new Release Preview ring which gets even fewer builds than the Slow Ring.
Remove old Wireless networks in Windows 10
Whenever you connect to a wireless network using a device running Windows 10, a profile is saved to the computer.
That's useful if you need to connect to the network again in the future as it makes that operation easier, especially if the access password is saved as well.
While that is useful, wireless network profiles are not removed from the list of profiles after time has passed.
This is the new addons.mozilla.org style that will go live soon
Mozilla plans to release a new style for addons.mozilla.org (AMO) when Firefox 48 hits the stable channel which, if things go as planned, will be on August 2, 2016.
It is rather surprising that Mozilla neglected AMO for the most part. The last major change that took place on the main hub for all things Firefox add-ons dates back to 2011.
Surprising, because one of Firefox's greatest strengths is its add-on ecosystem and the extensions that are created for the web browser.

Opera Software announced yesterday that Opera 36 will be the last version of the web browser for Windows XP and Windows Vista, and that all future versions of Opera would only run on newer versions of Windows starting with Windows 7.

Mobile-Friendly View is a new feature of Google Chrome Dev for Android that users of the mobile browser can use to turn pages that are not optimized for mobile access into pages that are.
Not every web page on the Internet is optimized for mobile access. This is especially true for pages that have not been optimized in a long while.
While you can usually access these pages on mobile devices, you will more often than not notice that it is difficult to access the main content of those pages.
How to generate a battery report in Windows
Windows ships with built-in operations to generate a battery report, a detailed status report highlighting useful information about the battery and its usage history.
If you run the Windows operating system on a battery powered device, you are probably keeping an eye on the battery status regularly to make sure the system won't just shut down at one point in time due to a lack of power.
Download Windows 7 and 8.1 ISO Images from Microsoft
It is rather difficult to download ISO images for previous versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system from official sources.
Microsoft wants users to use the company's Media Creation Tool instead which downloads and creates installation media on a system running a supported operating system version.
How to make any program the default on Windows 10
When Windows 10 users want to change default apps on their system, they will likely stumble upon the "default apps" options menu in the operating system's Settings application.
There they find listed core types of applications, email, maps, music player, photo viewer, video player and web browser, that they can map apps or programs to.
Microsoft maps default programs by default, and it has happened in the past that updates reset some or even all file and protocol associations on the operating system.

Users who still run the classic version of Opera may receive an update notification that version 12.18 of the browser is available.
