The 10 days of $0.10 offers on Windows Store deserves some love

I have to admit that I have not made many Windows Store purchases ever since Microsoft launched the store with Windows 8.

The new store that shipped with Windows 10 offers not only apps and games, but also music and movies which should increase its appeal in the long run.

Microsoft runs a promotion currently in which apps, games, movies and music are offered for $0.10 each instead of the regular price.

I was not sure what to expect at first but have to admit that I'm pleasantly surprised with what is on offer.

But first the basics. Each day, a selection of commercial apps, games, movies and music is offered for $0.10 instead of the regular price on Windows Store. You purchase apps, games and music, while movies are only rented.

What this means is that you can watch movies for a period of time before they are no longer available. That may be less appealing than buying the movie, but I'd assume that most users watch a movie once anyway so that it should not matter that much in those cases.
