If you want to migrate from the content blocker Adblock Plus to uBlock Origin, you may be able to do so in mere seconds depending on whether you have added custom rules to Adblock Plus or not.

I don't want to get into reasons for migration away from Adblock Plus. Some users prefer the extension over others, but it is undeniable that uBlock Origin is a very popular extension as well.

There are two main use cases when it comes to migrating from Adblock Plus to uBlock Origin:

Opera Software released Opera 49 a moment ago to the browser's stable channel. The new version of the Opera browser introduces new functionality like a player for VR content or VK messaging support.

Existing users of Opera may run a check for updates from within the browser by loading opera://about in the browser's address bar. Opera should pick up the new version and start the download immediately.

Microsoft released non-security updates for all supported versions of the company's Microsoft Office software product yesterday to the public.

The company publishes non-security Office updates on the first Tuesday of each month, and then a week later security updates for Windows and Office.

Surprise, surprise. Mozilla slipped Firefox's built-in Tracking Protection feature into the Firefox 57 stable release next week.

Tracking Protection was integrated into Firefox back in 2014, and made available in release versions of the browser with the release of Firefox 42.

Files Go is an unreleased (at this point in time) file manager by Google for Android whose primary purpose is freeing up storage space on Android devices, and managing files.

The application appears as unlisted for most users on Google Play, but the APK file is available on APK Mirror so that anyone interested in Files Go can give it a try.

Please note that you need to enable the installation from unknown sources in the security settings on the Android device before you can install the APK.

Xmarks, once a popular solution to sync bookmarks between different devices, is not working correctly anymore for many users of the service.

Xmarks (formerly known as Foxmarks) was released as a Firefox add-on back when Firefox did not support its own data synchronization service. It filled a gap at that time by allowing Firefox users to sync bookmarks between different devices.

Windows Sonic was one of the features that Microsoft introduced in the Windows 10 Creators Update that did not receive a lot of attention.

Windows Sonic is Microsoft's solution for introducing spatial sound support on Windows 10 devices. The functionality is available to Universal Windows Platform applications and Win32 desktop programs, and developers may use the available APIs to create surround and elevation sound cues.

Adblock Plus, the -- by far -- most popular browser extension for the Mozilla Firefox web browser, has been released as a WebExtension.

Firefox 57 will be released in eight days to the stable channel. The new version of the Firefox web browser breaks the traditional add-on system by supporting WebExtensions exclusively.
